Exocrobion

Exocrobion is an apex arthropod-like monstrosity, named for its fearsome blend of crab and scorpion features clad in a thick, iridescent exoskeleton. The largest specimens can reach nearly six feet in height, dwarfing most shoreline predators. It's segmented body ripples with armored plates shimmering in hues of deep jade and oceanic blue, edged with spiny ridges that deter attackers.

Twelve bulbous eyes line its ridged head and upper segments to grant a near-omnidirectional field of vision — nothing escapes its relentless gaze. Eighteen razor-sharp pincher claws bristle along its flanks and abdomen, each capable of snapping bone or chitin with ease, while its front limbs are larger and more robust, specialized for both hunting and brutal defense.

The tail arches menacingly, ending in a heavily armored club tipped with serrated barbs — a hybrid between a scorpion’s stinger and a crustacean’s crushing appendage. When threatened, the Exocrobion can lash out with astonishing speed, delivering devastating blows and injecting paralytic venom through concealed spines.

Dwelling in cavernous burrows or coastal tidepools, its mottled exoskeleton allows it to blend into rocky terrain, remaining motionless until the perfect moment to strike.

Terrifying yet mesmerizing, Exocrobion is both a marvel and a terror.
